Mary Carol “MC” Ceselsky-Grunder has earned a strong reputation in financial services in the Baltimore – D.C. area for over 30 years. Besides being a rarity as a woman-owned firm in the financial advisory sector, the name BOOSTER is similarly unique. “I didn’t want a brand with a bunch of buzzwords like Integrated Something Group and my last name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue. BOOSTER truly represents who I am, how I approach business, and how I help my clients – with facts, honesty, and enthusiasm.”
MC has even abandoned the traditional title of President or CEO. “I like the title Chief Booster,” she explains. “It is so much more descriptive of what I do in terms of employee education, fiduciary oversight, and growth. Like the gear in our logo, we become an integral part of our clients’ strategic planning.”

Tommy joined Booster in late 2021 with the title of “Senior Booster” and is responsible for managing his existing client base and assisting in growth opportunities for BOOSTER, LLC.
Tavenner is a University of Maryland graduate with a B.S. in Management Studies. For over 30 years he has developed a strong reputation in the financial services sector, eventually as the principal of his own firm. Tommy is a Certified Financial Planner -CFP® and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst - AIFA®.
Tommy is quite visible in his community and is personally involved in numerous charities, including an anti-domestic violence non-profit founded by his family. He lives in Montgomery County with his wife Michelle. The couple has 3 adult children and enjoys spending time with their grandchildren. Tommy enjoys playing golf and laying down bass grooves with his cheekily named band, Father Time.

Kathy is BOOSTER’s resident “Cat Herder”, as she keeps M.C. and Tommy on track and guides clients through paperwork and processes.
Kathy lives in Frederick County, MD with her husband John, and their two college-age children. She has been working with Tommy and his clients for 14 years.
